War Torn Vehicles (21 pics)

These are military vehicles that were abandoned and left in the Golan Heights following the war between Syria and Israel. All of these vehicles have certainly seen better days. What a waste of money it is to spend it on the vehicles of war.

Welcome to Israel (11 pics)

I don’t know what their problem in Israel is, but their security officers are really severe.
They can spend hours on questioning people and searching travelers’ luggage.
One "lucky" girl that seemed to be suspicious for the security officers could fully experience it.
After a lengthy interrogation and all sorts of verifications, she was told: "I'm sorry, but we had to blow up your laptop.
Look further at her laptop.
Well, they did not explode the laptop but shot it through and it’s a good thing, because all the work of the girl was on the hard disk that remained intact :)

Shelter for cats in Israel (28 pics)

Posted in ANIMALS       28 Sep 2009       8990
There is a shelter in Hadera, Israel, which contains about 300 cats with 3 people who are constantly working there.
The shelter exists thanks to their personal financing and donations from people. Cats aren’t only fed and washed in the shelter, they are also treated and sterilized.
Here’s what the photographer of these pictures wrote: “Shelter raises mixed feelings. On the one hand, cats are tidy, well fed, found their home.
On the other hand, it gives an impression of an orphanage: all the cats are trying to attract attention, look in the eyes, if you sit down, they try to climb on you: your lap, hands and shoulders.”
