New York was the whole other world back then…

It’s been 15 years since the terrorist attacks took place in New York City where the twin towers of the World Trade Center were razed to the ground. A series of four coordinated terrorist attacks was organized by the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda which also resulted in the deaths of 2,996 and the injuries of over 6,000 others. 
 

This amazing house, built in 1930's, is situated just outside of New York City and once was the most beautiful house in the area. But because of the years of neglect it was reduced to a shadow of its former self.

Berkeley based photographer Janet Delaney made a great collection of photos of New York City back in the 1980s. Take a look.

The One World Observatory is located in the new Freedom Tower in New York. The site offers phenomenal views of Manhattan that stretch as far out as 50 miles.
