A house in progress was severely damaged after a huge amount of snow was deposited on it and the surrounding area. It seems as if the house should have been able to sustain the weight of the fresh snow, but unfortunately it buckled like a Popsicle house and will have to be rebuilt.

If you think that cardboard record players have now become souvenirs from the past, you are wrong. Yes, it was back in the late 60’s and early 70’s when cardtalkplays were popular record players sold or given out as a promotion to different people. But now this tradition is back to life thanks to a mail promotion campaign held by GGRP Vancouver Company in 2010. This sound design company mails a record in a cardboard sleeve that you can unpack and turn into human-powered record player. Watch photos and video for more instructions and play the music.
Over 500 athletes from 44 different countries from around the world have descended on Vancouver Canada, for the 2010 Vancouver Winter Paralympic Games. Following a separate opening ceremony and torch relay, competitors faced off in five different sports: Cross country skiing, Biathlon, Alpine skiing, Wheelchair curling, and Sledge hockey. The last three are broken down into classes of the visually impaired, standing, and sitting. The Winter Paralympics will continue until the Closing Ceremony on Sunday March 21st.
