Taiwan has been chosen as the restaurant’s location since and themed restaurants have proven to be successful in this landscape. Barbie’s manufacturers, US toy company Mattel, hope to promote Barbie as a fashion brand to the Asian market and the staff uniforms and décor of the restaurant all accentuate the iconic Barbie world that is predominantly pink and girly.
