China plans to relocate 250 million people to country’s megacities. To do this, they need solid infrastructure. So, they invested billions in huge infrastructure projects. Some of them have been already completed, others are underway. Here are some of the giant and expensive Chinese building projects.
China has the population of over 1.381 billion which is constantly growing. Plus, as of 2015 the country has dropped their “one child policy.” Today, Chinese couples are allowed to have 2 children per household. The government hopes that it will help to balance the country’s demographics. In the meantime, their population will continue to grow even faster now. Zhongdong Miao Village is situated in the mountains of Anshun in the Guizhou province of southwest China. The village is situated inside the cave at 1800 meters (almost 6000 ft) above sea level and has about 100 dwellers. The villagers built roofless houses, schools and a basketball court there. It is warm in winter, cool in summer and dry all year long. The community used to have a high school as well, but the Chinese government closed the school in early 2011. Now, the closest school is a two-hour walk there and back.
