You’ve probably heard of the TLC Toddler’s & Tiaras show where young girls get make up, fake hair, and all sorts of other things (like having eyebrow waxes) to participate in a kind of a beauty contest. Here are the pictures from the unusual episode of the series in which the moms of the little contestants were asked to wear the same pageant costumes and to undergo the same preparations to feel better what they are putting their girls through.

The Ugliest Couch in the World is an online contest that takes place from January through the end of November. The winners are chosen by online voting and showcased on the contest’s webside. Inside this post you can see the worse couches of 2010.

After the earthquake in Christchurch, the residents decided to run a contest for the best rural toilet in the area, as a sewerage system was damaged. Each excelled as he could, the only condition was: the toilet had to be located outside the house. Now let’s see how well the residents did in this contest :P

When everyone else is gearing up for the holidays these guys are gearing up for a Barbie Beauty Contest. Each contest along the road will lead some lucky Barbie to the Miss Universe contest. The one hosted recently was in Venezuela. These guys spend hours, days, and money to create a perfect Barbie that might win the title.

These photos are from National Geographic’s Photograph Contest 2010. The images are in three different categories including nature, places, and people. It took eight weeks for the judges to select these winners.

The beauties at Miss Universe 2010 are wearing national costumes. Some of them risked to hide their gorgeous bodies for the sake of the outstanding costumes. Others managed to show both.

The new beauty queen of Italy is a chubby woman who weights in at 170 kilograms (375 pounds) at the age of 33. Her name is Angela Scognamiglio. Being “Miss Chubby” feels “very moved”, Angela assures. This unusual beauty contest was held in the village of Forcoli, near Pisa.

We posted already 20 ugliest dogs ever who had also participated in this contest and some of them here were the winners. The photos in this post are from the 22nd annual World's Ugliest Dog contest that took place in Petaluma, California this year. This year a 4-year-old Chihuahua mix Princess Abby Francis won the contest.
