The Villingili Resort and Spa is located on the Maldive islands was the first resort in the southern hemisphere. The term paradise doesn’t do it justice.

We already had a few posts with the photographs from this amazing earthly paradise. But this place is so gorgeous that we couldn’t help but share a new portion of pictures of one of the world’s most beautiful places. Looking at such beauty, it’s hard not to leave everything behind and move to the Maldives.

This is what is left of Gagra, a resort city on the Black Sea coast.

With its climate close to subtropical, Gagra was a popular health resort in Imperial and Soviet Russia among Russian elite. It was a paradise with its pleasant climate, a royal palace and a number of buildings in an eclectic variety of styles from around Europe. The park that surrounded the resort was also very popular with tropical trees and even parrots and monkeys imported to give it an exotic feel.

But the war between Abkhazia (political entity within Georgia which status is disputed) and Georgia in 1992-1993 deserted the place making it all ruins and a ghost town.

Amazing pictures, so bright and deep in colors. This is what real paradise on earth might look like. Probably I just need a vacation ;)

This is a beach I’d love to go to. It is called Navagio. The beach is situated on Zakynthos Island and is considered one of the most famous beaches in Greece.

It is also called the Shipwreck because it is home to the wreck of the smuggler Scottish ship Panagiotis built in 1937 and crashed on the island in 1980.

Caboodle Ranch is a 100-acre cat sanctuary created by a certain Craig Grant, in 2003. This paradise for cats is located in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. It is now home to over 500 happy cats.

This huge natural shelter for homeless cats is composed of lots of little houses, a city hall, a church, a water mill, ponds…

A lot of hard work for Craig Grant, but he is very happy like that with his cat army!
