Macro Sea is working to transform ordinary urban areas in a creative way. In 2009 they turned a junkyard in Brooklyn into a “lo-fi” country club and this pool made of dumpster was an essential part of it.
Villa on the Rocks rental property is located in Bandol, a small commune in Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur. Designed by architect Rudy Ricciotti (who designed the Mucem Museum in Marseille), the 5 bedroom/8 bed/3 bathroom villa boasts an incredible 28 meter long lap pool that can be viewed from the inside and outside thanks to some extra thick, aquarium-style windows.
Villa Honegg, a 5-star boutique hotel, is situated in the Swiss Alps, 914 m (3,000 ft) above sea level and can boast some of the most spectacular views in Switzerland. But one of the hotel’s gems is definitely its rooftop infinity pool with year-round temperature of 34ºC (93ºF). the panoramic views are simply breathtaking and the pool’s steps have been recently nicknamed “Stairway to Heaven.”
