This is the reality of suburbs and slums of the city which will host Olympics in 2016. As you can see from these pictures, the dark side of this beautiful city is shown. The police have long ago lost any control in these areas. Now it is drug dealers and criminal groups who are reigning there. Apart from adult drug addicts, you can also see children wandering the streets looking for crack or other drugs. Very sad reality… Similar post: Slum War in Rio de Janeiro  The funny statistics represented in these photos cleverly reflect the reality of life very precisely. They are to the point, and extremely humorous. It is actually amazing how accurate these statistics really are.  Some guys from Germany made a very cool experiment. They compared how food looks on packaging and in reality. It turned out quite interesting. On the left – pictures of packages, in the center - a larger photo on a package and on the right – the real photo of the product.  It seems like we can tick our mind and see what is not actually real, or simply, to hallucinate (I’m not talking about taking drugs). Our brain is more complicated than we thought it was already ;) So, in general, what we see is a “byproduct of how the brain processes sensation.” Below you can see several illustrations with examples.  |
