Today we have some content sent to us by our visitor Superba. It is about plastic surgeries that made people better and were quite successful. Thank you a lot Superba. Here’s what he wrote: “In Romania is a TV show with people who have different defects and by participating on the show the defects are corrected by cosmetic surgery, dentistry, even wardrobe is changed. Pictures are BEFORE AND AFTER ».  I certainly respect the fearless guys who are ready to parachute anywhere and from everywhere, and from different heights. But this Russian base jumper was a bit unlucky. But everything was starting well...  Nike Women campaign with the slogan “Here I Am” was translated into Russian as “This is me” or “Yes, I am this way”. So, this Russian slogan plus the picture with dancer Sofia Boutella lead to an amusing ambiguity. Let’s look first at the original photograph and inside the post you will see the billboard which is now hanging all over Russia.  Here’s Allison Stokke, a young, pretty athlete girl whose picture got on the internet while she was preparing to compete in the pole vault during a high school track meet. Then, it didn’t take long for her photo to be picked up and to travel through the World Wide Web. It wasn’t done on purpose but now she’s quite popular and she said that she didn’t want to be known only for her looks but also for her performances. And it seems that she is a very good athlete too. She held seven national records; she set a school freshman record at the Pac-10 Championships, was also qualified for the NCAA Indoor Championships and in the outdoor season her jump was the second-best performance in school history. I say she has nothing to worry about. She’s really good looking and a successful athlete. Go girl! :)  Look at the TOP-12 of unsuccessful cosplay outfits from Comic Con 2009.  All of them are really poorly made. Some celebrities shouldn’t be very happy to see the wax version of them. To see the difference, I put the photos of the celebrities alongside their 'lookalikes' wax statues.  Here is a collection of photos of people disguised as robots or something close to it. As you may notice, we’ve already seen better costumes in the past, much better. But sometimes, it’s not the final result that counts but the fun you get in making your own robot costume.
