Richard Norris is seen before and after his face transplant surgery. Surgeons from the University of Maryland Medical Centre performed what they said was the world's most comprehensive face transplant, after a gun accident that almost took Norris's life 15 years ago.

Jacqueline Koh, a 29-year-old Singapore based fashion designer, underwent an astonishing ten surgeries to have her face completely transformed into an anime type character.

The world’s most hardcore Superman fan is probably a Filipino man by the name of Herbert Chavez, who went through actual plastic surgery to look like the flying superhero. His first surgery was back in 1995, with surgeries and procedures including rhinoplasty, silicone lip injections and thigh implants. Chavez also has a substantial collection of Superman memorabilia, and not surprisingly may suffer from Body Dysmorphic Disorder.

In 1918 Frederic W. Goudy wrote The Alphabet and Elements of Lettering. In the work he suggested that words, which were made up of letters, made sounds and therefore had to be organic. Andreas Scheiger decided to prove his point by opening the letters to see what was inside. He had to have a great creativity to accomplish this project and the details are simply incredible.

Penny Johnson wanted to have facelift surgery, and her plastic surgeon promised her “amazing” recovery facial procedure.

Meet 8 year old Deepak Kumar from India. He was born with some body parts of his parasitic twin attached to his chest. The locals think that he is the devil in a human body and call him octopus boy. His parents and volunteers saved the money for him and the extra body parts have been surgically removed.

The photos are not very pleasant to see though.

This is the result of special surgery that gives the person 6 pack abdominal muscles. The method uses superficial liposuction on the tummy. In order to look this way you have to have only 3% to 5% body fat. The surgery costs as much as $20,000.

These are before and after plastic surgery photos of Moly, the Shar Pei. Apparently the poor doggy had some sort of disease the left her unable to see so plastic surgery was required. I think she looked better before the surgery, but it is important to be able to see.

These photos were taken of celebrities before and after they had plastic surgery. The after photos of most of them are disastrous. Although plastic surgery has worked wonders for some celebrities, for others it has to be a living nightmare.
