Some of the toys from this collection made me laugh. Others looked as if they had come alive from a horror movie. What kind of parents would buy such toys to their kids?  As you can see from these pictures, lots of great things can be done from wood. And I thought that wooden toys sucked… I was so wrong.  So what do you think your toys are doing when they are in the attic with all the time in the world to come up with things to do? Well as these photos suggest, what they come up with might just surprise you. To find out what it is there doing check out the pictures after the jump.  Little boys will have uncanny ability to make toys to play with out of just about anything that is available to them. From imaginary headphones made from strands of wire to scooters made from scraps of old wood with carved wheels to airplanes made from coat hangers and cardboard, boys always manage to figure out a way to make something to play with. It is truly a credit to the human spirit and the science of engineering that boys will always have toys.  What can I say, a real hard work. The production process is entirely hand-made. Glass blowers can make up to 200 balls during one shift! I can imagine what strong lungs they must have ;) Further on you will see a photo essay from a small Ukrainian factory near Kiev.  It is just great what a human imagination is capable of. I couldn’t even think of a variety of things that can be done, for example, out of an old computer mouse and CDs.  They love to frolic in the water and each of them has its favorite toys. Very positive selection, just look at what these bears like to play with... ))  Toy photography is a real genre that has recently become quite popular. Here are some of the best and most interesting works.  Let's see what Soviet children had to play with. I can say just one thing, they have nothing to do with these toys. They can’t be even compared.  After the jump, you will find a great selection of toys from the 80-90s. I think many of you will be able to find something from their childhood. If you were born later, it still is interesting to see these rare toys :)  Here’s another interesting toy concept by the artist Shi Jinsong. Maybe for some Terminator or ninja babies ))  Not only they aren’t dangerous, but they are also very soft and cute )) And this is normal because they are plush toys. Would you buy them to your children? ;)  |
