Most of the Izismile team members live and work in Kyiv, Ukraine. As you know now we have a war in our country started by the Russian Federation. They attacked us six days ago. Every day our cities are shelled, children and adults are killed, cities and houses are bombed. When the air raid sirens are silent, we update the site as usual. When the sirens go off, we we hode in the basement. We will update Izismile, so you could get distracted from what is happening in the world of horror. We don't know what will happen next. We believe in victory and in the end of this war. This is the only post about the war on our positive entertainment site. But we can't remain silent.
Next you can read a post by our close friend on FB and see with your own eyes what we see.

When designing a playground in the Ukrainian city of Khmelnitsky, the designers made really something unusual and unseen before, something that will make you say WTF?!
This collection of photographs of Chernobyl shows this place 25 years after the Chernobyl disaster, a nuclear power plant accident that occurred on April 26, 1986 in Ukraine.
It’s hard to believe that abandoned airfields exist, especially with many old airplanes, helicopters and trucks left unguardedly. But everything is possible in Ukraine. All these pictures were taken by ordinary travelers who stopped in the middle of the field on their way to the Crimea and took a free tour around this airfield. No military. No guards. Completely abandoned.
Journalist David Gillanders and broadcaster Rasmus Paulsen visited Ukraine in February-March of 2010 to make a photo reportage on Ukrainian children living on the streets. They spent 2 weeks in Odessa in the circle of a small group of abandoned children.
It seems that Ukraine has its own Banksy graffiti artist (Banksy is the pen name of a British street painter who is well-known for his artistic pranks in different countries). Ukrainian Banksy is also fond of satirical street art. His identity remains unknown except for his nickname “Sharik”. This is how he signs his works. Sharik’s street art is amazing. His graffiti drawings are clever and often hilarious. They are all worth seeing.
Despite its economic adversity, there are such comfortable prisons in the Ukraine. This one is situated near the city of Kharkiv. It is called VIP ‘cause it resembles more a SPA than a prison. Even Ukrainian students don’t have such living conditions in dormitories.
Many prisoners after purging their sentence commit crimes again just to return to this place. Because even in their own home they don’t have such a level of comfort and cannot afford the food they have in this prison.
However, it is not like a 5 star Justizzentrum Leoben prison, Norwegian or some of German prisons, but I still think it is too good for prisoners…
The wreath laying ceremony in Ukraine went wrong and gave laugh to all Ukrainians. It's all about President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovich :)
You should absolutely watch this video!
I’m sure they’re not all like that but this one does not make you feel like travelling by train in Ukraine, at least not in winter..
Those pictures were posted on an Ukrainian online site for classified ads.
The owner of this apartment wanted to rent it so he posted some pics.
The thing is, not only the apartment looks old and has old pieces of furniture but there is one major inconvenient. The toilet is situated in an unconventional and not very convenient place!
See more after the jump.
In the city of Odessa, Ukraine this Windows error box was floating. It looks weird but it was not photoshopped or whatsoever.
Actually, there was a big fog that night in Odessa and what you see in the sky was an advertisement projection with this Windows error message.
The biggest part of photos comes from Ukraine, where there is allegedly an epidemic of Swine flu. So, the Ukrainians come out to the streets to protest as they claim that it is the government that brought this epidemic hysteria “about swine flu to distract the public from political issues.”
I like the way Ukrainian girls are protesting ;)
Those are tombstones of gangsters who died in criminal wars that followed the collapse of Russian communism. They’re in cemeteries in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
For me, it’s just awfully ridiculous, but I guess for them, there was nothing cooler than that…
