We saw it the other day, some employee’s job is to clear the snow from roofs in order for them not to collapse as snow can be very heavy… And here it goes again, some workers who seem to not care about anything just threw the damn snow anywhere… and in this case – on the cars! What a bunch of assholes…  It seems that as the world economy turns sour, the workers who do have jobs are working even harder. These photos depict the worker doing just that. Some of the jobs seem unbelievable to many of us. Some are more dangerous, others are routine and even boring. Nevertheless, the human worker is truly an amazing being that exemplifies the old adage that when the going gets tough, the tough get going. You’ve got to admit that when it concerns their work, people tend to tell things differently, whether they’re hypocrites or they want to be polite. So here are some common inter-office emails and their translation. Quite funny :))  Funny notes left by co-workers at the offices about their lunches, odors, cookies etc. The notes are everywhere: in the fridge, on the food, on the shelves, on the microwave etc. Some of them are aggressive, others just passive but in all, all of them are funny. Friday was the Sysadmin Day or System Administrator Appreciation Day (SAAD) – I know I’m late but, happy SAAD to all the system administrators ) A short note for those who don’t know it: “the Sysadmin Day was created by system administrator Ted Kekatos. He was inspired to create the special day by a Hewlett-Packard magazine advertisement in which a system administrator is presented with flowers and fruit-baskets by grateful co-workers as thanks for installing new printers. The holiday exists to show appreciation for the work of sysadmins and other IT workers. It is celebrated on the last Friday in July. The first System Administrator Appreciation Day was celebrated on July 28, 2000. Dismissed workers of Triumph International ‘Philippines’ (a huge international underwear manufacturer) were holding and throwing bras and panties in the air in front of Department of Labour and Employment (DOLE) in Manila June 30, 2009. They organized this symbolic demonstration to protest against what they qualify as an “illegal and unjust closure of Triumph International Philippines.” 1600 workers were fired because of the closing of Triumph International operations in Philippines.
