Russians are pros at disguising their number plates to avoid paying for parking. They have devised a few ways of hiding their registration from the street cameras and it seems like almost anything will work including tape, socks, CD’s, gum etc. Surprisingly, parking only costs $1 or $2 so it’s a bit funny that people driving expensive cars such as Mercedes Benz’s or Bentley’s would go to this extreme to avoid paying the small tariff.

Used for railroad images in Chicago, this camera reached a height of 3.4 feet (1.06 m) and weighed a massive 1115.4 lbs (507 kg). The camera used plates that were 7.8 feet (2.44 m) long and one cassette weighed about 497 lbs (226 kg).
