The title sums it up pretty well, you will see here pictures that are famous or not, but which are all interesting.
Each of them comes with a very interesting story, so take some time reading it!
Cold War on the Court
The U.S. team came to the final having won every game in Olympic play for the past 36 years.
But the Soviet Union’s team surprised the Americans with an aggressive offense in the 1972 Munich Games.
With six seconds left, the USSR was clinging to a one-point lead when American Doug Collins was deliberately fouled.
Collins sank both of his free throws, giving the US. its first lead, 50-49, with three seconds left.
The Soviets failed to score, time ran out and the Americans erupted in celebration.
But Soviet coach Vladimir Kondrashkin claimed he had called a time-out that was ignored, and Britain’s R. Williams Jones, the Secretary-General of the International Amateur Basketball Federation, ordered the clock set back by three seconds.
When play resumed, Soviet star Sasha Belov pushed past two U.S. defenders to sink the winning basket...
Those are the shortlisted entries in the ‘This is Britain’ category of a recent photo contest of Digital Camera Photographer of the Year.
It’s a very interesting collection of pics depicting life in general and things you can observe everyday.
We made another post about Photos from Life. Take a look on this post too.
In the city of Odessa, Ukraine this Windows error box was floating. It looks weird but it was not photoshopped or whatsoever.
Actually, there was a big fog that night in Odessa and what you see in the sky was an advertisement projection with this Windows error message.
The biggest part of photos comes from Ukraine, where there is allegedly an epidemic of Swine flu. So, the Ukrainians come out to the streets to protest as they claim that it is the government that brought this epidemic hysteria “about swine flu to distract the public from political issues.”
I like the way Ukrainian girls are protesting ;)

There’s only one conclusion – portion size is getting bigger every year and therefore the number of calories increases.
So, no food abuse ;)

Hot rod "Mad Cabin" with a cabin of an army truck ZIL 157 – it gives a crazy result ;)
I hated geometry at school, now I kinda changed my mind ;)
Having a perfect wedding day with everything occurring as you wished is not that easy because shit happens, it’s like that, you can’t do anything about it.
Sometimes, something goes wrong during the ceremony, sometimes it’s about the wedding cake… but sometimes, it’s on the way to the wedding place!

Well, she is not what she once was anymore…
It sums up zombie stories pretty well, which is funny because it also shows in a funny way what not to do during a zombie invasion… :))
An armor-piercing shell is a type of ammunition designed to defeat the thick armor carried on warships, tanks…
The photos are very impressive, look at those impacts!
When I first saw these pics, the first thought that came to my mind was: these ‘guys’ are just fooling around.
But it seems they are not… Well, to each their own.
Because many bus drivers think they can do several things at the same time.
Personally, I would not risk being in the same bus with such “pilots”...
I have never thought that something really amazing and cool can be done with such a thing as a bar code.
Japanese design company proved me wrong :)

I'd rather not say anything, because I am not a connoisseur of Chinese cuisine.
Maybe this is some kind of special noodles with a high content of protein
Those are tombstones of gangsters who died in criminal wars that followed the collapse of Russian communism. They’re in cemeteries in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine.
For me, it’s just awfully ridiculous, but I guess for them, there was nothing cooler than that…
On November 9, 2009, Berlin celebrated the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.
We'll look at the pictures of two decades ago and how these places look like today.
The difference is obvious.
