When I saw these pictures, I was very impressed, especially with some of them. Guys from the site SugarStacks tried to give us an idea about how much sugar we can consume if we eat some products. But they note: “We don't differentiate between different types of sugar - i.e., sucrose, fructose, cane sugar, corn syrup, honey, etc., although there are differences in how these sugars are metabolized. We just used cubes of white sugar as a visual aid”.

The problems of alcohol, smoking, drugs, gambling are still important today.
There is no easy way to get rid of it. Social advertising is there to draw attention to these social problems. It is always well done and often, it is shocking. But does it help? I think not much. I gathered a large selection of posters on this topic. Look, it's interesting.

All that I got from the pictures is that an ambulance crashed into a military truck with soldiers « on board », then an APC crashed into the ambulance car and crumpled it back real good. Well, I think soldiers could get out of the truck.

An old hillbilly farmer had a wife who nagged him unmercifully. From morning ~til night she was always complaining about something. The only time he got any relief was when he was out plowing with his old mule. He tried to plow a lot.
One day, when he was out plowing, his wife brought him lunch in the field. He drove the old mule into the shade, sat down on a stump, and began to eat his lunch. Immediately, his wife began nagging him again.
Complain, nag, complain, nag - it just went on and on. All of a sudden, the old mule lashed out with both hind feet, caught her smack in the back of the head. Killed her dead on the spot.
At the funeral several days later, the minister noticed something rather odd. When a woman mourner would approach the old farmer, he would listen for a minute, then nod his head in agreement; but when a man mourner approached him, he would listen for a minute, then shake his head in disagreement. This was so consistent, the minister decided to ask the old farmer about it.
So after the funeral, the minister spoke to the old farmer, and asked him why he nodded his head and agreed with the women, but always shook his head and disagreed with all the men.
The old farmer said, ‘Well, the women would come up and say something about how nice my wife looked, or how pretty her dress was, so I’d nod my head in agreement.’
’And what about the men?’ the minister asked.
’They wanted to know if the mule was for sale.’

I was thinking today what I could do that would be interesting for you. And then I had an idea and I made this unusual selection.
Very often, when we see the first picture of the post we can easily guess what the post is about.
So, I propose you a series of short riddles. Inside the post you will see the first pictures of the posts, try to guess what happens next by looking at these first pictures. Almost all these stories have been on the site in 2009, but I think it will be interesting for everyone, especially for newcomers )

Great collection of pictures with living statues. Actually, it is Yevpatoriya Open Living Statues Championship, Ukraine. It takes place annually in May between the 1st and the 7th. Every country can participate in this Chapionnship. Some “statues” look like real ones, especially their make-up perfectly done gives that impression.

These photographs were taken in Pakistan. It's a pity for him, he must have some sort of disease. But he also looks like some Star Trek characters.
After all, it can be make-up and he just attracts people’s attention this way to get some money. Anyway, click to view more photos.
