Kingfishers are small bright colored birds that live in both woodland and wetland habitats. Kingfishers that live near water hunt small fish by diving. Their eyes also have evolved an egg-shaped lens able to focus in air and under water while swimming. Kingfishers beat their prey to death.
Amazing pictures.

Tough Guy Challenge took place on February 1st in Wolverhampton, England.
This is an off-road race which is open to both male and female competitors who are 13 years of age and older.
Competitors should run through a difficult set of 21 obstacles.
The course includes swamp crossings, a rope climb, crawl under barb wire, beautiful native bush trails, a range of natural and man made obstacles, mud and more mud.
You will see from the pictures that it was not that easy.
Splendid photographs of nature for National Geographic. Winners have been selected!
Very interesting. Falcons are very efficient.

No one even knows when they got on the web.
Some say it was in 2001/2002.
Fascinating shots made by Evelyne Dubos.

Octopus is currently the world's eighth largest superyacht, owned by Paul Allen, the co-founder of Microsoft.
Octopus measures 414 feet, sports two helicopters on the top deck and a 63-foot tender docked in the transom (one of seven aboard). The yacht also has a pool on board, located aft on one of her upper decks, and two submarines: one operated by remote control for studying the bottom of the ocean. Side hatches at the water line form a dock for jet skis.
