Thanks for all the fcabdeek. To respond to your comments, in order: Is Bobby G. demanding to work for? Yes. Courtesy call to Dan Hurley? Maybe there's a courtesy call, but Dan is NEVER taking this job for reasons outlined on this blog previously. Who are the candidates to replace Billet? You mentioned Jerry Walker. You've heard the name Tony Bergeron of American Christian (Pa.). There is at least one other prominent Pirate alum in the mix, but I can't go on record with a name right now. Did SHU make an effort to keep Billet with more money? I doubt it. The last anonymous poster, our CBA grad, hits it on the head. The archdiocese is squeezing the financial life out of the Hall's athletic department. What do I think of the way this has been handled? I don't have a problem with it. Billet has been ultra-secretive, which is fine. It's a secretive business, especially when recruiting's involved. And this all went down in the middle of the live evaluation period. If CBA wanted a high-profile coach like Geoff Billet, then they had to play along. That's the way it goes. As for Billet himself, this is clearly a step backward if his goals are to be a college coach, but maybe those are no longer his goals. Coaching a strong high school basketball program is a good life. Being a college assistant, working for the equivalent of $7 an hour and spending at least half of your time on the road, is not a very good life. The bottom line: the relatively low pay plus the grind of the job both of which are magnified at SHU is not for everyone. Billet did a fine job at Seton Hall. His replacement will be an important hire for Gonzo. Stay tuned.
Many think that YA is just chseey vampires, werewolves, and silly love triangles. Great giveaway! Thanks!gatheringleavesreviews at gmail dot comwww.gatheringleavesreviews.blogspot.com
One cmmoon misconception about YA lit is that it is assumed that young adult books are only for tweens/teens and that there can be no cross-over appeal with adults.klamber1 at unca dot edu
I have to have some sort of bgrcakound noise to fall asleep (even though ironically, I am a very light sleeper). Sometime the tv with all the loud commercials or action sceens keeps me awake. I would love to just fall asleep listening to a cd playing quietly!
Hi Oliver,Thanks for your qeiuers. You will need to submit 3 illustrations and 1 binding. When you come to upload your images you will see that there are 4 fields for these. One is labelled binding' and the other three are for the images. You don't need to design the back cover as it is likely this will be blank. The page size is 234 x156 but if you allow for bleed it makes it the size of the cover. I think the cover will always be slightly larger in size than the page.Best wishes,Judith
