Hello everyone! I was reading the post and was laughing my *** out! I WAS BORN in Prokopyevsk and lived there for 14 years till we moved to California in 2003. Those people who post this don't know anything, they just copied pictures from someone. This is normal city like most cities in Russia, yes the winter is cold there but the summer is hot about 30 degrees Celsius.The population in there is 250 000 people, and Prokopyevsk is #1 in making coal in Russia so this is not a ghost town! This city has theaters, schools, parks, supermarkets, stadiums, buses, light trail, taxis, skate parks, churches, cathedrals, ice skating, good roads, businesses, stores, and much more, they just pictured the bad side of the city. I actually like and miss this city and have a lot of friend and relatives who live there, so don't be fooled by the cheap journalists.Good luck!
