actually, i don't know about the foam on the doors, but i do know that people in the middle east sometimes keep on the plastic covers for a little bit longer before changing the seat covers or buying new ones. why? because shit gets dirty there real quick. it's that simple. but this guy might have taken the idea a bit too far

Cars are expensive for most of Middle East ppl, and that's a result of huge customs or taxes.. may think of wrapping his 10 year saving with any protecting stuff..
