Funny back then, most people thought bands like that were cool, girls and guys seemed to dress similar...we know now that many of them were gay(homosexual) bands who managed to blend in with the culture of the time.

that's not glam rock, mon amour. glam rock was T. Rex, Sweet, Slade and Bowie. England. 70s. Got it? American glam-influenced 80s bands are glam metal (also known as 'hair metal', but that's a real stupid term). but Poison, well, they absolutely lack the 'metal' element. i would call them an 80s pop band.
