Why on earth would they use the same paper all the time?? Why are there prop papers? Why not use some real paper, or would that cause legal issues?

What I think is especially interesting is that these shows are all from different production studios. Meaning that they order in a standard prop paper from 20 years ago... they must keep printing the same one because they would yellow in a months time.

Lucky Louie was a hilarious show.

I am 28 years old, coming across an online community for individual seeking interracial love. ===== Seek Interracial. c o /m == . ==== All singles there are seeking interracial relationships. Interracial is not a problem there, but a great merit to cherish!

The reason they do this is because it's kind of an inside joke or an homage. Like the Wilhelm Scream (a stock scream that gets used in tons of tv shows, movies, cartoons, etc.)

They can't use real newspapers because of potential legal issues, but also because they don't want a date to accidentally show up on film...so they use a fake newspaper or perhaps it's a real one that got cleared once so they know they can use it again with no trouble...most likely though they just use the same stock fake newspaper as a running inside joke in the movie/television industry.

As I said before...it's along the same lines as sound mixers using the Wilhelm Scream or directors using the name Alan Smithee in movies they didn't want to attach their names to. There are actually interesting documentaries about both the use of Alan Smithee for directors and the Wilhelm Scream and it's origin. I would post links, but I'd rather not take the time so just google them yourself.

about the very important photoshop issue:

You actually CAN photoshop a video, using camera tracking, so you just got OWNED, guy who says it can't be done. elvis

And clearly, none of these photos was photoshopped, so you just got OWNED, guy who says all of these pic's were photoshopped. JC-LOL suicide

You can actually photoshop videos also by taking them into adobe premiere, extracting the needed frames, which it can export a series of frames as jpegs, take into photoshop and import them back in.

Premiere can reimport the jpegs into the timeline and none be the wiser.

They use a fake prop paper to avoid copyright and right to privacy issues. It's probably become an inside joke to use the same print over and over. dirol

Easy answer as to "why" ... It's television, and we live in a litigious, over-sensitive-politically-correct world. So before you'd ever take a chance on displaying a "newspaper" - real or contrived - you have to scour it thoroughly to make sure no actual names appear, no actual businesses, no real phone numbers, no photos of anyone under the age of 18, no visible text concerning religion, homosexuality, politics, lawsuits ... you get the picture. Best to leave the truth out of it completely ... you know, like Fox News!
