Amps should stand after or between the speakers ,anyway system is to powerful for that small room , for 6000000$ I would better buy prettier wife if I was him
McIntosh tube amps are designed for a 2 or 2+1 soundstage. Not surround.
I doubt the imaging in this room is optimal with all that clutter.
For 6 mil I would have a theater just for watching movies and TV and a separate room to listen to music. None of this multipurpose stuff.
And for those posters who "attacked" this guys wife's looks, low blow guys. Put it this way, this woman is with someone who can blow 6 mil on crap like this, how much can your woman/man spend on you huh......
Waste of money, its set up like a retard with a large budget did it. I'm assuming whoever installed all that really doesn't know all that much about audio. Besides the technical standpoint, small, awkward distracting room. Major Fail.
Having designed and built more than a few million dollar systems i can honestly say this is a case of a rich hobbyist that got took for a ride. I could have built him a an equally match system in performance for a million and used the rest to build a dream house.
I thought it was bad with my man fiddling with our laptop setup for 4 hours before we can finally just watch the movie on the tv. Just imagine how long this asshat takes to just sit down & watch a show. His dinner would totally be cold already. All things considered a vastly sub par experience.
Here's a link to his LinkedIn bio. He is not some rich audio buff that was taken for a ride by his A/V set-up company, he is a pioneer in the A/V business. Some of the shots above look to be during the 'in progress' stages, judging by the lower-end couch (notice there are two different ones shown) and the cables/fan just out in the open. Granted some of those Macintosh amps are just sitting out in the open once all was said and done, but that looks to be partially for the WOW-Factor of having that many in the set-up. This isn't exactly how I would have spent all that, but I'm sure he had his reasons, including being able to write most of it off for taxes if he is using it as a demo room as well.
Link won't post on the page, so just go to linkedin and look up, or just Google him and it will be one of the hits there.
$6M? no way. It must be $600K. If it was really $6M he could buy a much larger home with *proper* A/V systems. The giant speakers in the small room with too many junks in the background don't make sense.
if spent that $ you got suckered. the screen is toooo small and why the HELL are you using PROJECTION????? HD DV WALL!! Shit you spent enough.
sound is just a joke.. who ever was the "tech" for this job should be ashamed to have this on the internet.
The job honestly looks like a meth bender had a lot of $$ to blow. if your going to spend this kind of $$ get REAL advice on how to build a cinema room.
its a ok room but you could do better like have a bigger screen and a way bigger room more speekers and more space to sit and you could put a disco ball in there and have a dance floor and more hightech equipment so i would say your one of the stupidest people i know to spend that much money on that stuff
stop hating to each his own, leave the man alone, if he wants to spend his hard earned money on that then that he should do get off it. no one messes with you guys about the stupid stuff you spend money on. because every one spends money on stupid stuff. it just depends on your perspective.
I am the creator and designer of an entirely new level of Ultimate Home Theaters in the world - The Kipnis Studio Standard (KSS) - including the copyrighted Ciné Beta design seen above.
With between 8.8 - 12.12 channels of sound, and composed of as many as 16 subwoofers, 96 speaker drivers, and a video resolution more than four times that of Full HD (1080P); 4K = 10 Megapixels: this is the most immersive Home Theater experience one can own, today and tomorrow.
Accommodated within dedicated, custom built double height rooms 28.5 x 36 feet in size and larger, a 65,000+ watt Surround Sound System fills the space with sound that’s truly worthy of worship. Capable of entertaining anywhere from between 10 - 100 people at a time, the KSS Ciné Beta Home Theater System lies in the middle of a range of Home Theater design and integration solutions that gets even more extravagant with the KSS Ciné Alpha Stadium Design.
For those with more modest tastes and budget, but also and equally as much desire for Ultimate Picture and Sound presentation quality, Ciné Gamma and even a Ciné Delta Home Theater System design is available starting at a mere $10,000. No matter what your requirements are, the Kipnis Studio Standard (KSS) will create the most immersive, enjoyable, and memorable media experience possible - even in 3D!
Please come to our website and then send us an email with your Home Theater specifications. You will be amazed at what we can do!

I wouldn’t have this waste of system in my home! EPIC FAIL!
Where’s the real theatre seating that you’d find in cinema? EPIC FAIL! Not one single seat! EPIC FAIL! Not one signal real cinema loudspeaker! EPIC FAIL! Not one real 35 / 70mm projector! EPIC FAIL!
I’ve seen real cinemas that make this $6 million joke like a laughing stock!
FAIL HUGE WASTE OF MONEY EPIC FAIL!
$6 million would make a small two screen cinema from the ground up!

You could have some crazy-ass parties with all that bass!
A system like this should be hidden from view, not blocking exits and book shelves.
Totally lame.
Those high end audio / cable companies which charge 40,000$ for a stupid cable thrive on morons like this. I'm in the wrong business.
