If they had computers back in Ben Franklin's time, why was the Declaration of Independence handwritten? Wouldn't it have been easier and faster to type it, print it (or email it) to all of the guys to sign?

the company was called "franklin," and they sold apple ][ clones. is the connection between "ben" and "franklin" really that hard to figure out...?
That's right, it's the one ancient computer that stands out in particular as having been YEARS ahead of it's time.
