This is one of the masterpieces introduced in Tate Modern’s vast Turbine Hall (London) by Chinese artist Ai Weiwei. At first glance, these are usual sunflower seeds. But if you take a closer look, you’ll see huge seeds that are not real. These are hand-painted replicas made out of porcelain. Each seed is unique, and there are one hundred million of them. Can you believe that it took 2.5 years and 1,600 people to produce this installation?

I've always been amazed by artists’ imagination. They can look at a simple vegetable and see the potential to create something of it and next thing you know, there is a simple but beautiful work of art in front of you.
This is Beemer, a pet kangaroo who lives in Australia. His best friend is a cat, loves playing football and eats toast with salad. He is a rather large pet but his owners don’t seem to mind. I wonder if he gives boxing lessons in his spare time.
This parade celebrates 65 years of reclusive rule by North Korea. The youngest son of Kim Jong il, Kim Jong-un, who is in the process of taking over as ruler is present to enjoy the festivities. There is also an amazing amount of people present to watch the parade.
These pumpkin carvings are art. They are the creation of artist Ray Villafane who is from New York. Some are spooky, some are caricatures of celebrities and even Presidents, and they all are amazing. This artist has a true genius.

Remember the Beatles? Unless you were under a rock in the 60’s you probably do. What most people don’t know that the Fab Four were young once and a small band out of Liverpool, England.
