japan actually sent a message declaring war a few days before the pearl harbour attack began, but the message arrived late, which is what caused them to lose the war

@ra You clearly have no knowledge about history. The Japanese worshiped their Emporer like a god. They would not surrender, even if it would mean death (see the mass dieing on Iwo Jima) because surrender would be a shame to the Emporer. The only way to make the Emporer surrender was to inflict serious damage that would leave him no other option but to surrender. History is not as black and white as you would like it to be. You see numbers and figures without a story to back it. That makes you, sorry to say, an idiot. Oh and I'm not an American.

the GOODSTUFF Dude gets on his soapbox

OK, ponder this for a moment; Loose Lips Sink Ships. On Pearl Harbor Day Julian Assange writes an Op-Ed titled "The truth will always win". I have to question Julian Assange timing. History confirms that America had all ready broken the Japanese diplomatic codes.

The Foreign Office itself deliberately withheld from its embassies and consulates much of the information it did have, so the ability to read PURPLE messages was less than definitive regarding Japanese tactical or strategic military intentions.
After the Secretary Hull had read two or three pages he asked the Ambassador whether this document was presented under instructions of the Japanese Government. The Ambassador replied that it was. The Secretary as soon as he had finished reading the document turned to the Japanese Ambassador and said,

"I must say that in all my conversations with you (the Japanese Ambassador) during the last nine months I have never uttered one word of untruth. This is borne out absolutely by the record. In all my fifty years of public service I have never seen a document that was more crowded with infamous falsehoods and distortions, -- infamous falsehoods and distortions on a scale so huge that I never imagined until today that any Government on this planet was capable of uttering them."

If you said "remember Pearl Harbor" in 311 and it was karma,
you should remember slaughter in Tokyo, Okinawa, Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

You'll receive.
