What's outside mave have changed but the inside stays the same. The tatoos merely were a visual of his festering and rampant hatred that grew inside him everyday. I think he removed the tats so he could cower and hide as most bullies and cowards do.

You forgot to say who paid for that, around $35,000. An anonymous donor. Of course, he or his family couldn't afford that.

If he still was inside those racist circles, I don't think they would approve tattoo removal. I believe he started to use his head/heart and did the right choice. If he was one of the most violent white supremecists, then his change of heart was even more difficult, because he was an example to others like him. Not easy thing to do and nothing to scoff at.

Better have scars that aren't that obvious than to wear the shameful past of someone you are no longer. He looks happy.
However rather big errorin the text higher, "whose dark past is finally in past" That's horrible, "whose dark days are finally past him" is much better.

He made the right move. This way, he can still kill niggers and faggots on the weekends and if there are witnesses, it'll be harder for them to identify him. Win/win!
