They got paid through insurance. Still a waste as many of the parts could have been salvaged that aren't affected by a little water.

Its like this. If u get insurance after your car was stolen, and once the car is recovered, you are not entitled to it as the insurance has already been claimed. Here, dont think, they are gonna waste any part. They can use every part of the car. Think about the tyres getting crushed, they are still used after remaking it. Same is the case with other parts as well.
