These are items and gadgets that different people wear and carry in their pockets, bags and holsters. Some of these items are designed for common tasks, and others are created to be used in case of emergency or unexpected situations. Most of these everyday carry items perfectly describe a lifestyle of their owners.

As a child we all held a crayon or two in our pudgy little fingers, the man that created this piece of art still does.

This is a photo tutorial of how to sculpt and reproduce a helmet from Fallout 3 video game. The idea belongs to artist Josh Jay who seems to love post-apocalyptic games. Even though this helmet doesn’t look too safe or practical, it could be an amazing design idea for future motorcycle helmets. Why not?

Lake Powell is a reservoir on the Colorado River. It is the second largest man-made reservoir in the United States storing 24,322,000 acre feet (30 km³) of water when full. Lake Powell was created by the flooding of Glen Canyon by the Glen Canyon Dam, which also led to the creation of Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, a popular summer destination. 

These are photos of German soldiers and French people going about their everyday business that were taken by Andre Zucca in Paris during the occupation of France. Apparently, they photographer started a bit of a controversy because the people appeared to be too happy. It was later revealed that the photos were taken for the German propaganda magazine Signal. "Showing Paris as a fun loving big city full of happy people was what the Nazi's wanted."

This is what the salt plantations in Vietnam look like. First, the sea water is poured onto specially designated pieces of land. I have no idea how long it takes for the water to evaporate, but with such a heat in Vietnam, it shouldn’t take a lot of time. Then the workers are brought there for a long working day. In the beginning, the salt is raked into piles (mostly men do it), then it is loaded into wheelbarrows and transported to a large pile near the road (this is women’s job). Then, the salt is transported to a plant for treatment.

This is a life sized figure of Link, the character in the very popular series of video games the Legend of Zelda. It is very lifelike, detailed and it looks great.
