Funny how they didn't get nominated, and yet many of them are scheduled for a more modern day RE-MAKE...

Most of the these movies were revolutionary because they were so different, but not all of them were "good".
I think, for the most part, there were specific performances in these movies that made them memorable. This might be a list of films whose actors should have received Best Actor/Actress or Best Supporting.
Though that is not to say that Hollywood isn't a little bit douchey when it comes to selecting Best Picture...
And I mentioned to my wife as soon as I heard that Extremely Loud was dealing with 9/11, that they were trying to get it released so they would be nominated.

Dark Knight is total shit, except music. Acting is tragic, script is idiotic.
