It's quite often who is more popular or politically correct than who is the most talented and deserving. I have haven't bothered with the Oscars for a number of years.

Awards are all about money, power and stroking the ultra rich. I guess these actors have some scruples and didn't swallow the corporate weenie. Good for them. Both Rickman and Sheen are exceptional talents.
