Number 9 is absoultely true - it does matter on which side of the earth you are. I've been watching a discovery channel document about Equador and they moved tube 5 feet to the other side and water whirpooled in oposite direction. That puts the whole article in doubt
i agree, coriolis force doesn't put water swirling, it just gives direction. butterfly's flapping can be big force when there is zero force oposing it.
#8- i don't think twinkies "go bad in a fashion similar to any other bread." twinkies have two major differences- a large creme component and being jam-packed full of preservatives. they're talking about 25 days, there-- bread goes stale a lot faster than that!
I can confirm from personal experience that "Fact" #9 is pure bullshit - first thing I did when I got to my hotel room in Australia was flush the toilet and watch the water go in the "opposite" direction. Yes, I am easily amused...
