Considering that the food in the right column was assembled in 10 seconds or less and the food in the left column took an hour or more, I'd say it's not too bad.

I work at McDonald's, and I agree that the food never looks like it does in the ads. The cheese sits out on the prep table to melt, and the lettuce gets dark like sitting out. The tortillas used for burittos and snack wraps are never toasted, or warmed up. Everything besides the grilled products and smores pies are precooked! The fries are even pre cooked before shipping.
