The casting for the main characters was perfect. Sharon Stone, and a few others..too old. Madonna!? She would have been a hideous choice.

#9..so sad so many animals died. :(

My dad, a former Navy vet, refused to go see the movie. When asked why, he said: "I know how it ends!" :-)

The cost to construct the ship in 1910-1912 was $7.5 million which was about $120 to $150 million in 1997 dollars. The movie cost $200 million to make.
