If you want to visit the Metéora, one of the largest and the most important complexes of Orthodox monasteries in Greece, then you’ll have to take these ropeways to get there. The Metéora; which means "suspended rocks" or "suspended in the air”, consists of six monasteries built on 600 m high sandstone rock pillars connected by the ropeways. I’ll be thrilled to go there only to try out these ropeways. This is clearly for adrenaline junkies.
