well this may be a reach, but i assume the idea would be to wash them out thoroughly afterwards... preferably in a fast stream.
i'm not sure how long these would last in the wild, however. maybe if they were cured in the sun and then coated with beeswax.

really? so a modern man placed in the wild can automatically presume that modern power tools will fly in to his hand because he thinks he's something special?
