I think I missed about a cooling system. All that equipment will put out a lot of heat which will cause the fans to run more and put out a lot more noise.

Please... How 00s... Given that the drive [and technology currently] is moving smaller and smaller, who the heck would bother building a rack. I took mine down ages ago and centralized the bulk of my media needs to one system.

Very nice. Wow. The only missing link is Tonido. Install Tonido in the Home Server and access it from anywhere.

yaawwwn..feeling insecure ?? buy a gun.. this is america..need an entertainment system ?? buy a flatscreen and a gaming system...its 2012 ..are we still building racks to contain unnecessary electric bs home servers?? really with the lighting too?? wasted time and lots of effort..thats just my opinion

Wow, that took me back. I had something similar in the 90's, but now what used to occupy a whole rack sits neatly in a small cube on the bookshelf.
