Obviously, the creator of this thread doesn't know the difference between a statue and a sculpture.

really.... do you Mr. Ree?... can those words NOT be interchangeable? So ..quick.. off the top of your head (no google) define the two.. and the difference!
I know where you are goin... but I think you are also perpetuating a wee bit of art snobbery... and I really dislike snob in my art...

One of my favorite sculpture/statue posts yet.... keep em up.

A statue is for a (possibly) living creature, a sculpture is for everything, an object, a concept, etc.

Why include #15? It's not odd, just another typical overpriced municipal monstrosity.

Why are the statues of Buddha included? They look normal, even the one with the swastika, which was a good luck symbol way before the Nazi's even thought of using it.

I think you will find that a swastika is actually the reverse of the symbol shown on the Buddha statue, i.e one is clock wise and the other anti clock wise. H.T.H.
