#6 Jayne Mansfield. She died a very horrific death. She and two friends and her children were travelling in a soft top car, when it crashed into the back of a trailer and went under the tail. The three front seat passengers were killed instantly, however her children in the back seats were more fortunate and walked away with only minor injuries. It was said that she was decapitated; it is true that her hair was seen entangled in the wreckage of the windscreen perhaps she was scalped, but certainly received fatal head injuries.

The rumor of her being decapitated circulated for a long time, but she was scalped.
Her daughter went on to be a big television star: Marisa Hargitay Hope I spelled her name correctly.
