assuming you're trying to hit your ideal weight, that's still too much high carbs and not enough veggies IMO.

empty carbs are probably the single biggest reason why so many people gain weight and can't get it off.

Good one at simplyfing but oversimplified. The point is "... if extra ....", so you have to do more to adapt your meals more to your body and lifestyle than just to use your hand.
But it's good guide if you are not doing anything.
