That's an incredibly feat of design, engineering and build quality but I really hope the owner did it for the novelty aspect of it. If they were hoping to prevent the ring from being stolen, they are mistaken. A thief will just take the whole box and even if they never discover the 'secret compartment', the ring will still be gone.
