this is so stupid. In reality, airstrips surrounded by sea are the safest, cause you can always emergency land on water. Read the freaking safety manual and think why they show you floating vests.
Barra Airport, in the Hebrides off the West Coast of Scotland. Yes, it is a beach for take-off and landing. At least it's only for daytime flights.
