#3 and #4 Him? There are two persons there, the shoe polisher and the customer. I think they are both equally important here, although they probably was not when this photo was done. Even more, there was a lot of people in the street, but they disappeared because of the long exposure time.

In 1903, Julius Neubranner designed a tiny breast-mounted camera for carrier pigeons. The camera could be set to take automatic exposures at 30-second intervals as the pigeon flew along.
