But...this all seems so much better than the way things are now. As far as the kids are concerned I suppose it would be like being born without senses. Sure you'll live, kind of. You'll just never be more enriched. The coming generations are so screwed.

But if you didn't have a fancy boom box, you'd hold a handheld tape recorder up to the speaker, and your mom would yell something in the background and ruin it.
