Could be handy at first, but in my house that thing would get so full of shit you'd forget the outlet was in there.

The outlet in the drawer is to plug in things like a blow drier or electric razor so you don't have to unwrap the cord and plug it in above the counter. It sounds odd but it works pretty well.
