Looks like the perfect holiday destination for all of us amateur astronomers.

Unfortunately, the best time for stargazing here is in the dead of winter (because it is too light in the summer) and you feel as though you are going to freeze to any equipment you go within 6" of.

Ditto in Canada. Humidity in the summer results in too much sky glow.
