I'm sorry, I'm not from the US (altough I am American, I live in this continent) and I am against achieving anything through war. My country doesn't even have an army, so we don't need to mourne people that kill each other. Instead we use those millions and millions of $$ to try to build a better country.
gigantes, my comment was just a joke, since I do have to work today and I usually enjoy this website during my shift. I do respect your holiday and hope you all enjoy it.

thx, edjd01. i'm not from the US either, but i liked your comment and indeed recognised it as a joke.
analysing the righteousness of war is a long and complex subject. i try to look at the holiday not as a referendum on the aggression of the US, but as a tribute to the many brave, average souls who had no choice but to fight... and tried their best in that situation for their loved ones and ppls back home. but there is no right answer, of course. cheers.

Thanks gigantes, its nice to discuss with a mature person on this website. I agree that the whole war subject is a complicated one. Even more if the reason for war was to free a whole people from slavery and not just to fight for a piece of land or religion. Anyway, nice talking to you. Cheers
