Think about it: For less than 50¢ you can safely mail a letter across the continent in 2-3 days without even having to go into a post office. Anyone who has tried to mail a letter outside the USA (with the exception of the UK, NZ, Canada, and Australia) knows that it expensive, time consuming, and has about a 50% chance of not making it to its destination. The reason our postal rates are so cheap is because the costs are covered by direct mail advertising. I never look at any of it, it goes straight into recycling. Doing this won’t change anything. The people who have to deal with this douchebaggery are NOT the ones who make the profits or the marketing decisions. They’re working stiffs who have to deal with hundreds of envelopes every day, usually for minimum wage. They don’t need your petty revenge to make their lives suck even more.

Boy that is soooooooooo wrong. I quit the PO in 2002 and was making 17 an hour. Many of my friends still working there are making 25 or more an hour an hour. Thats the people that actually work. The managers, post masters etc make ungodly amounts to sit around and do nothing.
