When I saw the initial photo, I thought they were sending cardboard boxes for people to live in. Now I understand that parts of shelters are in the boxes. Silly me.

So it is a shed in a box. This is nothing new. You can order them from your local hardware or big box store anytime you want. The extra stuff is just an accessories pack that goes along with the shed.

yes, it is a shed in a box, but there are probably reasons why ikea was involved in a project such as this, like low cost, design efficiency, useful shipping contracts, and perhaps subsidy levels.

perhaps that is the reason orgs like oxfam don't show up with a fleet of tractor trailers at your local hardware superstore and say "i'll take 200,000 garden sheds, please. it's for somewhere in africa if you really must know!"
